Fireball Skill
Give players a charged fireball that explodes and leaves a crater, with a free library and the systems it needs.
The Fireball Skill is a free Superbullet library. The player holds a key to charge a fireball, lets go to throw it, and it explodes where it lands, leaving a crater and rocks behind. It's the biggest install of the free libraries so far: it brings three other systems with it and has one animation to upload.
What It Adds
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Fireball Skill | The fireball: hold to charge (2 seconds for full power), let go to throw. 75 damage, 10-second cooldown |
| Skill System | Skill slots on keys Q, E, R and F, unlocking and equipping |
| Rock Debris System | The crater and flying rocks |
| DamageHandler | Applies the fireball's damage |
The numbers are the library's defaults, from its settings files. It also adds a SKILL TESTER panel and two test dummies, which you remove before publishing (see Before You Publish).
Before You Start

The window can open again with Lightning Beams as the second option and nothing selected. Click Fireball Skill (1) and Use selected library (2) again.

What You Should See
In Superbullet, the AI ends with how to unlock and equip the skill in code, a few notes, and an offer to do more (give players the fireball automatically, clean up the test parts, fix the cast animation ID).
Each of those offers is another AI task, so it uses tokens. You don't need any of them to try the fireball.
Try It in a Playtest
New players don't have the fireball yet. The SKILL TESTER lets you give it to yourself. Click Play in Studio, then:
Unlock the Fireball
The SKILL TESTER opens by itself, with Fireball marked Locked. Click Fireball to unlock it.
Equip the Fireball
It now says Unlocked. Click it again to equip it.
Put It in Slot 1
Equip: Fireball asks for a slot. Click Slot 1, which is the Q key.
Charge and Throw It
The Fireball appears in your skill bar with Q on it. Close the tester with its red ×, face an open space, then hold Q. A CHARGING bar fills; let go to throw. The fireball explodes where it lands and Q shows the cooldown counting down, as in the pictures at the top.
The round button above the gear at the bottom right opens the SKILL TESTER again.
Before You Publish
The test parts are for you, not your players. The library's own guides in ReplicatedStorage › SharedSource › Datas › SkillRegistry › Documentations explain how to remove them:
- Delete-NPC-Tester: delete the two test dummies (SkillTester_Rig and MultipleRig_1 in
Workspace › HealthEntities › NPCs) andServerScriptService › FireballNPCController. - Skill-Tester-Removal-Guide: remove the SKILL TESTER panel and its button.
Change How It Feels
The fireball's settings are in ReplicatedStorage › SharedSource › Datas › SkillRegistry › Categories › MagicSkills › SubCategories › Fire:
| Setting | Default | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
Cooldown | 10 | Seconds before you can throw again |
ChargeTime | 2 | Seconds to reach full charge |
Damage | 75 | How much damage it does |
ProjectileSpeed | 100 | How fast it flies |
The keys for the four skill slots (Q, E, R, F) are in Datas › GameSettings › SkillSettings. The simplest way to change any of these is to ask in chat, for example Make the fireball recharge in 5 seconds.
Troubleshooting
Unlock and equip the Fireball in the SKILL TESTER first, in Slot 1.
They're the library's NPC testers. Remove them with its Delete-NPC-Tester guide.
The fireball still charged and exploded in this guide's playtest. Ask the AI to fix it only if the cast animation doesn't play.
Wait. The AI carries on by itself; don't send a new message.
